| What is the elastic wave radar system "iTECS-3"? |
| The measuring equipment "iTECS-3" consists of an impactor, a sensor block, an amplifiter section and computer for control. An impactor with diameter ranging from 5mm to 30mm is selected according to the thickness of structure to be measured to hit the concrete surface. Reflected wave obtained by hitting is received with an acceleration sensor and is input in the computer for control. Analysis of waveform allows soundness and internal defect of concrete structure to be diagnosed accurately with ease and in a short time without destruction of the structure. |

| System features |
| ·Easy measurement Measurement can be performed easily by pressing a sensor block lightly against the surface to be measured and hitting with an impactor. No special treatment such as surface treatment is needed only if surface is a properly smooth concrete one. ·Multifunctional The thickness, internal defect, surface condition(elastic modulus), and indexes of strength are calculated. Also concrete strength can be measured from steel ball contact time as an optional feature. ·High accuracy The measuring accuracy for concrete thickness and surface of discontinuity is high within +4%.The calculation resolution can be set freely. The resolution in the horizontal direction depends on the distance between the hitting point and teh measuring point but is approximately 3cm. |
